IDAHO SKI REPORT

March 31 2025

Idaho’s mountains are seeing promising snowfall this week, with the heaviest 5-day snow totals forecasted in the central Sawtooth and Pioneer Mountains. Chocolate Gulch and Galena near Sun Valley are expecting 12–15" over the next five days, with Galena already picking up 2" in the past 24 hours. Close by, Lost-Wood Divide and Swede Peak are also expecting 12–13", making the Ketchum/Sun Valley area a top pick for fresh powder midweek. Brundage Mountain near McCall, supported by Brundage Reservoir and Bear Basin sensors, is expecting moderate snowfall (5–6") and currently boasts over 100" of snowpack.

Up north, Schweitzer Mountain near Sandpoint continues to hold one of the deepest snowpacks in the state (122"), with Bear Mountain and Mosquito Ridge both showing 11" in the forecast and fresh snow accumulations today. Further south, Magic Mountain and Pomerelle (fed by Howell Canyon and Sedgwick Peak data) are forecasted for 6–7" this week, while Bogus Basin near Boise will see lighter totals (~3"). Meanwhile, the Lost Lake and Sunset areas near Lookout Pass and Silver Mountain suggest 10–11" incoming, supporting strong conditions in northern Idaho resorts. Overall, the best bets for significant new snow are near Galena Summit and north to Schweitzer, with mid-week storm systems favoring central and northern Idaho terrain.
